The Bill (Reg.№5053-1) envisages the amendments to the effective law regarding the suspension of the prohibition of selling of homemade milk and cheese, carcass or carcass parts of cloven-hoofed animal and other hoofed animals homestead butchering for 5 year more (from 1 January 2010 till 1 January 2015).
During the discussion the People´s Deputies declared that the current law (that was adopted by the Parliament in year 2005 in the framework of the preparation of Ukraine WTO joining) envisages the formation of the necessary condition for the people regarding homestead butchering of hoofed animals at home but at specialized slaughterhouse etc. Still, the members of the Committee informed that for today there are no conditions for the population to conduct such types of activity.
During the meeting the members of the Committee have scrutinized also identical Bills (Reg№№5053, 5053-2, 5053-3). According to the Parliamentarians al the four bills are topical; still the subjects of the legislative initiative suggest divergent ways of the problem solution.
As a result of a discussion, the Members of the Committee recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill № 5053-1 as a basis and takes into the consideration separate principles of other bills during the elaboration for the second reading.
